Hi All,

I recently purchased a Allis Chalmers HD11E and have used it for a couple of days.

I have only had one issue that being the decelerator pedal has become inactive, at one point of using the dozer the decelerator pedal dropped to the floor and isnt tensioned anymore so it does not decelerate the engine for gear changing.

I have temporarily fixed the issue with a bungy strap however the deceleration isn't the same as before.

Has anyone had this problem before and if so how did you solve the issue.

My Tractor serial number is 8321 and my engine serial number is 10-10510

Also any suggestions on what engine oil to use as it says to use SAE30 i thought there might be better alternatives these days.

It sounds like some of the linkage pivots have seized up you will need to disassemble and lubricate them (it's not a major job to fix)

I use Cat DEO 15W 40 engine oil seams to last longer before it turns black
regards steve

Could possibly be a broken spring on linkage, too.  I think there is a spring above the clutch housing that returns the decelerator linkage.
