Does anyone know what is left of downtown Gifford after the storms? To be more specific, there is a bar downtown (name - The Back Forty maybe??) that is a good stop for pizza and(more)beer between sessions. This bar for me is an integral part of the whole experience and aids to good health while on the trip. Without it a new plan must be devised.

I have no idea what is in Gifford, but plan a trip down to Urbana. My crew and I made several trips last year to the Silver Bullet. It just happens to be a wonderfull place if you wish to pass some time. You can also get that nice warm fuzzy feeling knowing you're helping to support the local economy.

Well that all sounds good and an establishment that goes buy the name "Silver Bullet" sounds good (Bob Seger live appearance?)and Lord knows I support the locals wherever I go, but Urbana is a 25 min. drive compared to 2 minutes in going to Gifford. Maybe the bar right at the north end of Gordy will have some room.

I am pretty sure myself and my trusty sidekick will have no business driving 25 miles into a larger city with an official police force after any of the sessions.

I will second Wi's choice in establishments. Top shelf whiskey for a good deal, a good time to be had, and good people too ;) Urbana is a much better town than ramtool in general. I'd stay in that town if I were going again this year.

Do they need cloths????? It's warm in there., why would they need cloths?

It's simple trickle down economics.

I think Patric knows the deal. Those college girls need something to do while on winter break. Those old boys from Iowa sure were havin a good time last year..

I hope the north 40 is still open too! A quick 2 minute drive from the pull after the afternoon session ends, shoot the bull, drink a couple cold ones, and have a pizza. Then head back the 2 minute drive for the evening session. It's nice in there where you can actually visit, not having a dang juke box blaring crappy music! lol! OPS, see you and your trusty sidekick in a few weeks! I plan to get down there for friday afternoon session. Saw the thursday list and kinda wanted to see that, but all the rooms are booked! I have mine already booked for friday night.
