Well im not sure if this belongs on this thread or not, but besides the Allis I have I may have a small collection of Allis Made tractors. I wont know untill I get an answer so here is the question. Was Simplicity and Homelite tractors both made by Allis Chalmers? and if or were they seperate? I have a Homelite T16 with the orginal engine and also have a Simplicity Baron 7014 shuttle with the original engine but it dosent run because it will not shift. I was just wondering if they were made by Allis. If so, what a small but interesting allsi collection. Thanks, Bob.

Yes Simplicity built them for AC and a few others! Homelites were built by both AC and Simplicity. AC did build some of their own under Simplicity license in Lexington S.C. Plant and 300-400 series had some different designs . Here's link to History section of simpletractors.com
