New to this site so thanks in advance. Father-in-law and myself bought a us a toy for around the farm and we need a little help. Bought this AC backhoe loader at the auction and was told it is a 715 with a ford backhoe. How do I know if it is a B,D or whatever? Where do I look for the model number on the chassis? It runs good and the hydraulics stated to get sluggish so we drained the fluid and pulled the filter. The old filter looked to be modified and was not incased in metal like todays hydraulic filters. I found the adobe file of the 715 on line but we are not so sure everything matches. What type of hydraulic fluid is recommended for this machine?   I have attached pictures if it will help. Picture file is too big. any suggestions?

When you get the pic uploaded, click the preview button in the file manager. A width and height size will show in the little boxes. Divide each by the same number so you get 800 or less for width.

That is a 715 'B' series tractor/loader/ backhoe. Built in the early 80's  I've had one for 26 years.

Nothing Ford about the hoe - is a 715B - hyd fluid - whatever you want to use - torque converter Type A .
see upper bucket are is bent - had to press both mine straight .
look for my post on 715B hyd pump brace if it does not have one now . saves the front timing cover/

Thanks for the response, I have review your post and looked yesterday at the pump and housing and it is cracked. Looks like it was like that when we bought it and the seller covered it when he painted the machine. Thanks again for the info. Sure I will be inquiring more as time goes on.

Actually there is a little Ford in this machine. The rear end and rear axles are Ford.

That front cover can be replaced or once a brace is put on pump , sealed or slowed down with goop of some kind over crack, silicone jb weld, or your favorite
Yes Ford rear but not the hoe.
