In 1969, the starting # was 1027.  In 1970, the starting # was 5107.  (I think)  OR 1027 were built in 1969, and 5107 were built.  If the latter is true, and #'s are consecutive, that makes your tractor a 1968.  Found  this info at the back of C.H. Wendell's book, The Allis Chalmers Story.

Unsure - I have seen 7 machines - ran 3 of them and seen adds or pictures of the others, and how many are out there ?
If his number is right, then could only say 1969 or older, if my number source is right - his machine doesn't exist. Presents a problem of source material
918 was a big machine for the time, with 18' hoe and a 1 1/2 + yard loader .

Even if I saw that backwards at 2127 It still wouldn't exist from cokes numbers. It was real visable. Right on the bellhousing like a regular 190 tractor.

Unsure as Norms numbers in his book say one thing ?
my other AC (Orange bible) Wendel book, has the same numbers in it.

Seems there is a documentation problem on numbers - now if it is a 816 - would be 1970

They didn't let it go for $4,900 and are asking $5,500.  That is a big machine.

For someone who wants a machine for their own work and has room to run - should be a good machine - loading or digging - but for small jobs or small sites it's almost to big .
When doing septic work my 715B was just right and with extending boom I could dig to same depth .
I would not mind having one for loading and those heavy digging jobs but residential work it is out of place.
