This is the latest addition to the collection HD 15A ser#808,1951,GARWOOD 151 front cable unit,w/front cable hardnose,GARWOOD straight blade w/ manual tilt near the blade trunions. Hydraulic rippers possibly home made?
This was 2 weeks ago Saturday. We got there to load it at 8:30 AM ,near Lower Lake,Ca. The tractor came from the Diener family in Lake County,Ca. where it had been in the family since the early 50's,used in general construction and later family walnut orchard development. We discussed several years ago with them about it coming to our collection and they finally decided it was time. So we hit the hiway for the 1 hour drive back to the shop and thought it was going well. Sat morning we had regular work planned because we had incoming rain predicted. 15 minutes from home the lowbed trailer blew 2 rear tires We got if off the hiway and into a friends driveway. We didn't have time to deal with it then, so we called our Les Schwab rep and had them get 2 new tires and go change them. It was Tue. before they got them changed.
So it's at the shop now for a front unit adjustment, a main clutch adjustment, fuel leak adjustment, fluid checks. It's a near perfect specimen and runs great. Then it's off to our Allis Chalmers playground (might even be Thanksgiving day) Also this is my first attempt using Photo Bucket, hope it works

Good photos and a very tidy looking tractor Mel. Someone has obviously taken a lot of care for it throughout its life. A tractor of that vintage still having good sprocket hub and idler hub fenders signals extra good care.

That looks like a very steep trailer ramp. Did you ever think it was going right over when you were backing off? Saw a picture of a new crawler that did that with the diver still under. Not pretty. Nice old crawler !!

Mactractor, yes all that little tin ware is still there and in good shape, very rare to see that anymore.
Calvin, The trailer ramp is pretty flat now,not a problem for dozers, backhoes, rollers etc. 30 years ago before I built the beavertail with the flip up ramps it was square off the back and we would put 2 aluminum truck wheels down and jump the dozers up on those to get on, it worked, but was nowhere near safe.

Excellent! That's definitely a nice machine you got there, Mel.
Did you still want me to go check out that 6G in Westhaven? I see it's back on CL. I have a few days off now.
