My understanding is that corporate Orange is slightly reder than persion orange II.

PO #1 used prior to 1960 was a brownish color.. for the B,C,WD, etc tractors. About the time of the D series they went to PO#2 which is more orange and brighter.. SEveral years later then went to teh corporate color which is a reddish orange color and very shinny.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Its time to get some PO#1 and paint that 3 point to match the 45. BTW. Nice looking WD 45. Please don't paint the 45 to match the 3 point even if the paint and painting was free.  Back when that 45 was built there was only one Allis Chalmers Persian Orange. In 1960 there suddenly were 2 shades of orange.  Then AC Persian oranges were called AC PO#1 and AC PO#2. AC orange after 77 was Corporate Orange. Don't think it was as as red a orange as that new 3 point but it was brite.

So you are saying that tractor is the original WD45 PO?

Pretty dern close.
Actual Shades of Orange or any color don't reproduce well digitally. We sell hand dyed yarn online and what you see for color on a computer screen is not always exactly what you get in real life.   If that 45 actually looks like a real jack o lantern pumpkin orange in real life, it's probably right.

pre 1959 orange actually looks like a dusty pumpkin to me , If it's shiney and orange like a tangerine its been repainted the "new color".

Compared to the 3 point it is closer to correct color but in the picture it still isn't PO # 1.

Like Ken said, a lot depends on how your monitor is set up and the camera and lighting used when the picture was taken.  I'd say the tractor in these pictures looks like the correct PO#1 and the three point adapter looks like corporate orange.  I have a 3 point that looks just like that for mine, it looks red when it's on my tractor.  It would probably look orange if it was laying on a Farmall.  Tom

This is my CA. It is painted with PPG paint code 60080 in OMNI acrylic enamel. PPG 60080 paint code is widely accepted as a accurate restoration color match to the original Persian Orange used from 1929 till 1960.
