how long have you had this tractor, you where the guy advertising in the Penny News in Oklahoma looking for one of these saying that you were a collector and needed another one. Something smells fishy here

Here is this guys ad

Really Really Wanted, not Greedy Just Want: D:17 Allis Chalmers w/lg round rear fenders, wheatland style, running or not, pay finders fee 918-230-8614.

Well it looks like you found your tractor, at least be honest about where you got it

The ad is in thepennynewsonline.com page 11 under farm equipment

Anthony, it looks to me like he is trying to buy a couple more dirt cheap and turn them around and make a killin'.  Probably didn't pay much for the first one.

As long as your honest about it thats fine, but it looks like you were very very misleading in your intentions, I just hope the person you bought that from wasnt some ederly person that needd the money. And from what you put in your ad you haventhad this one very long .....Maybe I ought to run an ad in there announcing that whoever sold the D-17 just sold a 20,000 dollar tractor  and see how they freel about that........And your right it is a free country but remember you reap what you sow, enough said

Enjoy the profits it all comes around in the end

You know guys I dont have a problem with a guy buying and selling old equipment, As most of you know I teach school for a living, but here is the problem I do have. I sometimes buy and sell old iron I dont do it for a living but people around town know I collect. I get asked all the time are you interested in buying........ no most of the stuff that I buy is worth about what they are asking for it, is there some profit yes there is or I couldnt do it..............but in one instance when I wanted a tractor that I had intentions to keep and that is what I told the owner that sold it to me..........when I decided the tractor was to far gone to restore, I was trying to rent a small wheat field to farm...........I went and talked to the previous owner FACE TO FACE and said hey here is what I am going to do and I am willing to split what ever I make with you because I want to be upfront........they declined and told me that the tractor was mine to do with what I wanted.........so for Christmas I bought them a gift certificate to a really nice reservation only restraunt..............now where talking on a tractor I made a few hundred dollars on..........not a few thousand......what is really sad is there vultures are all over there was two brothers that bought a John Deere from a widow in woodward, I know this first hand, and they new it was worth thousands, gave her 2500 and sold it for 30,000. So you ask me what I would have done, I would have told her she had something valuable on her hands and I would sell it for her for a fee, like a agent. I have actually sold stuff for people and never asked for a dime. Its about meating wonderful people and saving old iron. I hope nobody bids very much for this guys d-17 that he really really wanted, no being greedy but wanted.................sorry for the rant
