looking for two 20 " wide 34 " tall  non-powershift wheels for a D-21.  I really dont care so long as they are good wheels so I can use my centers and wedges.  I want to try and make my d-21 look better with the extra height from getting 23.8- 34s  instead of 18.4-34s.  If they have anykind of wider tire on them I would be interested

Also anyone with any ideas I would appreciate it
thanks Jason

Jason;  It's been a few years but if I remember correctly a rim 20" wide x 34" with the A-C 16 point mounting points is not made. Only White and MM used 23.1 x 34 tires from the factory for tractors. Allis used that size on some Gleaner M's and L's. I did the same thing on my D-21 6 years ago. We used the 16" rims and added 4" to the width. Just finished doing the same thing with a pair of A-C hub mount duals.  I got 4" wide x 3/16" rings rolled and my shop man did the welding. After the rims were painted you can't see where the weld is. My D-21 with have 23.1 x 34 duals this spring.  Finding good tires may be your big challenge.

thanks for the info I would kindly like to know if you had it al over to do again would you still go for widning the 34s or buy centers and go back to the 32s and buy centers and wedges, or any other option .   I only have one d-21 and want to make the right desc.   and it sounds like you really know what your talking about.  after all my uncle and grandpa had d-21s and when I was a kid they sold them both the same day to Brian Schramick ( the pulling tractor guy when he was like 13 years old ) At that time that was the biggest tractor we had on the farm or for miles around, so when I could I found and bought my own.   I greatly appreciate your thoughts and reply
thanks Jason

Jason. 23.1 x 34 tires were not a factory size for D-21's but I had a real nice pair from my short stint into tractor pulling in the mid 70's and my D-21 came with 18.4 x 34 tires. For me it was the logicial thing to do since I was also going to use my tractor. My originial D-21 had 18.4 x 38 tires but 38's were only available in the later years of production. If you want to make your tractor factory correct you will need to find 24.5 x 32's. One problem is that good used  23.1 x 34 tires are getting real hard to find. I haven't checked on new tires.  My friend restored a D-21 in our shop and he changed his D-21 from 18.4 x 34 to 24.5 x 32's. I got his 34" A-C hub mount duals and added 5" to the rims for 23.1 x 34 duals.
