I have the tractor all wired the way the diagram shows. The did not have the airheater hooked when it was brought in but the was alot of things that were broke or missing so I wasn t really sure how the system was going to work.It had a alternator hooked up that was not working but the 12v generator came with it.I sent that out to have it checked and its working fine. Here is my problem I took the heater out and cleaned it and mad sure it was safe to hook up.I wired it up and push the button and it works just as it should,When I start the tractor and rev it up it will discharge and when i shut it down the air heater is glowing red and will not stop unless I push the button really short so that it clicks then it shuts off. What bothers me is that if I use the button to activate the heater it work just as it should and won't stick or stay going its only when the tractor runs and charges.I am leaning towards the solinoid but I wanted to run it by some of you that have delt with the air heaters and this type of set up before .Gary

I would say the solinoid is stucking.   I would unhook the wire that goes to the heater  so you dont send power to it and hit the heater button a few times and listen if the solinoid clicks on and off.  Or just relpace it.

It Does click it does just what it is suppose to do but when I run the tractor it turns the heater on and I hit the solinoid after I shot the tractor of it stops the heator so I just ordered another one that should be here in a bit

Either the solenoid is sticking, or something is back feeding the solenoid and turning it on. Better find out for sure before you just hang a new one.

you have some wiring hooked up wrong.when the generator comes on the line it is powering the heater terminal of the relay

I'm with JW on that one. Maybe even look for a couple wires that are shorted together. It should be just one wire from ammeter to push button switch and from push button switch to solenoid. No other hookups.

It was the soliniod all the test I did led to the solinoid so I bought a new one and it works like a charm.I have never run into a solinod that had that type of problem before but its not your usual application either .But problem solved thank you for you imput I am putting the finishing touches on the tractor today

When the tractor was run with the alternator it must have been changed to neg ground, did you change the voltage regulator, may have been reversed polarity and now you are using the generator.
