If you guys had to guess which bearing would be the most likely to fail in the transmission or rear end? I took off the trans filter and noticed metal in the oil of it. I have not used this tractor any at all just moved it into the shed to start fixing small issues front pivot bushings, checking rods and mains ect, Thanks CD

Just a quick comment.  It may not be a bearing, more likely the hardness coming off a gear. - AL

I had a 220 and a D21 that both failed the rear mainshaft brg on the front (4 speed) transmission. Symptoms were noisey in 1-2-3-4 and quiet in 5-6-7-8. Also had a D21 that failed the RH differential carrier brg, but I think the 220 is a bigger brg in that area and has a splash shield to direct oil to it better than the D21.  If there isn't any noise, I'd not worry.....yet.
