Looks like it has a 6 cylinder gas engine in it. The frame has been cut and lengthened also.

Yes, this fellow lives not far from me and he's installed a Chev 292 six in this WC and lenghtened the hood.

Not to mention adding power steering. That explains why the side of the hood has been cut. Notice the hoods been stretched some too. I wondere how that works? Would there be a governor for that engine? I know i've seen Ford 300 sixes as power units. I believe they have governors. I don't know why someone wouldn't use the Ford six over the Chevy. Lot more low end. Wait, maybe it's because all of the Fords that those engines came in are still running around instead of being junked? Sorry Chevy boys, couldn't resist.LOL!

A lot of those engines that were converted for use as a power unit had a belt driven governor. I took one from the Chrysler engine on an old Massey sp combine and rigged it up on a Toyota 4 cyl engine from a pickup to use as a power unit for a rope tow for a ski slope. It worked great.

Seems like that would work well Don. Wouldn't have to worry about over-revving or trying to keep power constant for PTO then.

Dream, I think your right about the Ford 300, I've got an '89 I still drive. It's got a 5 speed stick behind it. I enjoy driving it.
