So is minn-par the best parts place for these? I just bought one and know pretty much nothing about the AC forklifts. Where does a guy learn about them? Does Norm's construction bible have info? I really need to buy that book now! Thanks! Ed.

It has a nice AC tag on the side of the block that says made for Allis Chalmers by Teledyne Continental, F163 model. Looks like a very popular little power plant for forklifts and welders.

Got my AC construction book off Amazon, and there is very little in there about AC forklifts. Just talks a little about the Buda acquisition, and mentions a few then. But after doing more poking around on the interweb, I have found very little info out there about these later models. I'm thinking mine is from the early 80's. I can't find any serial number references either. I did learn that the ACP means Allis Chalmers Pneumatic tire, or ACC is Allis Chalmers Cushion tire. the 30 references 3000# capacity, or 40 is 4000#, 50 is 5000# etc. Also doesn't look like MinnPar does anything with AC lift trucks. Just the rough terrain models. Also looks like Kalmar-AC is where the AC lift trucks ended up, but it looks like that is no longer in business? Someone has got to be an AC lift truck expert! Thanks in advance!

I know yours is an old post.  Did you ever have any further success in finding more information?  I just brought home an ACC 35.  Luckily, everything still works and it runs and moves well.  I'm just having issues with small stuff.

Cheers,

Hello, new to this site also. I have a Kalman ACC50. Engine runs good. Difficult to fine manual. Really need transmission rebuild manual. I believe it has a ALLIS CHALMERS 74874437, BORG WARNER 1001-000-058 TRANSMISSION .
