First here is the rules you must run the club turbo . Its sealed everybody runs that turbo next no rpm limit, 466 cu limit ok that said would your choice be to bore a 426 out and leave the short stroke and turn the breath out of it or de bore a 516 and leave the long stroke for torque

A longer stroke doesn't automatically mean more torque with a turbocharged diesel. More displacement does mean more torque, but a short stroke big bore 466 will develop as much torque as a small bore long stroke 466 if they are both tuned equally well. To me a 426 engine would be much easier and a better choice.
You can get to 466 C.I. using a 426 with a standard crankshaft without boring the block. You could also stroke the crankshaft and use the stock pistons and sleeves with the proper machine work done to the pistons. Either one would work well if done correctly.

You are going to have a major problem deboring a 516. I am having Gary Karlin in Ohio going to do some work for me on my 516. PM me and I will give you his info. I was going to do a 426 and we have a 480 CI limit, but it sounds like they are going to let me run this engine. We are limited to 3.5 turbo and I will have to go down to a 3.25.

We have a 505 limit here, and i think you could get it down there. I'm considering it.
