Who is planning to go to the Glen Rose TX Show and Pull on Feb 12 & 13. Is it a rain or shine show?
It's a 400 mile round trip for me. Long range weather report is not very promising as of today.  Thinking of camping out in the Van for one night. Snow showers forcast for Fort Worth. Burrr

Ken: Usually this pull in indoors. The time I went it was indoors and lasted all night.

The pull is in the coliseum and tractor parking is in the side arena and under cover in back of the coliseum, so weather isn't a worry.  It's usually cold, but that's only a problem when everyone fires up for the parade at noon on Saturday.  All the exhaust fumes don't have any place to go.  I'm planning to go, plus I know of at least two others that frequent here that are.  Massey Harris is the featured tractor.  Look for me - I'll have my B and maybe the new G.

Neat set-up in Glen Rose, but will be cold for sure.
Plan on running down Friday night to hook an old (tired) D15IIG and see what it has left in it; $5 or $10 a hook and just curious to see what the ol' girl will do.
Need a good opportunity to weigh this one anyway and pick up the published rules for the circuit.
Who knows, if she runs half way decent, I just might take her back on Saturday ......

Where near Ftw are you.  I live just east of Stephenville.  I try to get to the Glen Rose show when I can.  If the roads are not too bad you will see me there.

I'm still on the fence waiting to decide to Go or Not To Go. A winter weather alert travelers advisory has been issued for all counties along my 200 mile travel route Going To. Coming home should be fine traveling east late Saturday.

Hey Texas Allis. Did I buy a 39 B parts tractor from you a few years back?

The BE engine is rebuilt and running stationary at this time. The rest of the running gear is ready to come together soon.  Some of the sheet metal is primed and painted.

I'd like to go. Anyone have a link for time of events?
Watching the weather a little closer today, daughter's soccer games may get canceled.

Sho-man.  Little or nothing on the websites I checked. Before I go I really want more details. Sounds like TTTPA membership is required if you plan on pulling. They have no pulling rules I can find for pulling plain old stock or near stock farm tractors. I guess a phone call to the local club President or Secretary will get answers to some if not all questions.

Friend that works the sled has advised of Friday night "hooks" commencing at 5:00 PM and run as long as people want to hook; more of a shake out than anything and the boys will have the opportunity to also use the scales to dial in before Saturday.
Saturday pulling starts at 10:00 AM and goes until everybody runs. I have stayed till midnight before and they still were not done.
There is usually an exhibit where you can also see some neat restored and 1/4 scale tractors on Saturday but the weather may put a damper on attendees this year.
Only runs Friday night and Saturday, no Sunday activity.
Since I am only 15 mins. away (Granbury), I will run down Friday as the temp here is supposed to be above 40 tomorrow and snow here south of Fort Worth should be gone. If the D15II has any spunk left in her, I may go back Saturday for an official pull.
