Hi folks, starting to make plans to get an allis 616/620/720 mower project started. tractor i bought is motorless and deckless. I plan to put a kubota diesel in it. I am toying with the idea of a big deck (72 inch) but my land is not perfectly flat. What I want to find is a deck that has gearboxes driving the blades with driveshafts instead of belts. then cutting and hinging the deck with shocks for down pressure to make it into a batwing style with roughly 4-6" of travel at the wing tips. does anybody know of any companies making a gearbox style deck new? if not what are some old brands to be looking for.
Thanks!
David

I have a 1994 AGCO Allis 1920H Garden Tractor
The mower deck is 60", with shaft drive and Gear Box.
Same as this Simplicity on ebay.
Does an excellent job of mowing.
There is a 'double belt' driven PTO mounted under the front of the tractor, has electric clutch on motor. The mower drives off the rear end of the shaft, snow thrower drives off front end of shaft.
