I'm tryin to figure this out? If the right wheel is driven it looks awful low in the rearend, no differential? And how is the baler powered?

I've seen that machine before. Seems like it was made by some resourceful inventor and he tried to sell the idea to A-C, but A-C wasn't interested.

We will have to wait for Jim Palmer to chime in on this one, This machine is at "Orange Spectacular" every year. I think Gilbert owns it.

Sure would like to hear thhe story behind it. My Dad ran a pull type from 1947 until 1989.

sometimes I walk out to my shop and look around and think "Who's the idiot that owns this place?"

I believe this baler was built in Nebraska.  If I remember the story right a local shop built a few and A-C gave them a few balers to to it in case they decided to mass produce them.  It has a WC drive train and the transmission actually runs the baler, the pto runs a Dodge transmission and rear end.  There are two clutch pedals.  One for the ground drive and one for the entire machine giving it live power.  It is a slick little outfit.  I have seen pictures of another one that has a CA for a power unit.  Not sure how that one runs.

There is one in a shed of the same concept on a WD tractor frame.   Has larger drive wheels (truck tires if I remember correctly) and the pickup is a square baler version.  Said it worked great but the dust and dirt was horrible and "needed a window panel" between the operator and baler.  Very professional job.....Dale
