Well Allen and I went and looked over the 220 today. Started right up in 30 degree weather and ran smoothly from the start, no smoke no miss. Took it for a ride and all is quiet in the trans and rear. Whats a guy to do when his son is smilling from ear to ear?? I bought it. Had a cab on it at one time and needs a few floor boards and the fender skirts anda few other knick knacks but thats cheaper than motor and trans work. Has 1000 PTO no 3 point. Now what in the world are we going to do with it? Have a few sets of 2-14 plows we can pull and a 7' disk?

Besides being the only 220 on Kinney road that's the objective Ken. Hopefully the kids will inherit a few more dollars than it took to buy it and large father cant tax it,,, yet.

Now you will have to look for a 7 bottom pull type plow! Better yet one of those 7 shank rippers that goes in about 3 feet.
The 220 was the "A" of it's day! You'll have to get a picture of them together.
Bigger truck, bigger trailer, when will it all end! LOL

Butch - great purchase! Start looking around for a chisel plow or disc for it. While your 220 can pull more than a 16 or 18 foot folding wing disc, you'll find that you can pick up pretty darn nice ones under $1000 as they are way too big for the food plot guys and too small for the larger farmers these days. You can probably find a 10 foot chisel plow even cheaper. It might take a little longer to find you a good 6 or 7 bottom pull type AC plow. Mike

My buddy Ohio Orange says I should get a belly mower and use it to mow the lawn. Wonder if it would run a 6 footer or if I should stay with an L59?

I want to hear the conversation when you call Woods and ask for mounting brackets. Should be funny! The 1000 rpm pto might really cut grass, and throw the clippings into the next county!

At an auction last summer I saw a Large A/C mono-frame 5 bottom that sold for 150 dollars. It was huge and I wondered what was supposed to pull it.That plow would look really good behind that 220.It was probably cut up for scrap.I guess nobody uses them anymore

Ya pretty much the same here, like somebody else said implements, if small enough for the food plot guys or for the urban "farmers" to pull with thier nearDeeres and Kubotos then it brings big money. If it should be behind a 100 to 150 HP tractor it is worth its weight x scrap price less cutting gasses and pick up fuel. last winter I watched a 20' Kewanee (spelling?) pull type field culivator and lift harrow sell for $200 and it looked to have never been used, NOS. I will be looking for a 6 or so bottom plow but wont be travelling far nor paying much for it.
Heck I all ready have 2 local guys that want to borrow it at planting time. LOL Maybe I will get into the rental business.

You need some 30.5 x 32turf tires to go with the L59!

Better stick with the L59. You don't want to take a chance of being underpowered. LOL. Excellent looking tractor. Glad your giving it a good home. God Bless.

I was thinking the lawn maintenance end as well, but I was leaning more toward the big batwing mower behind it in the picture...lol...less passes that way.

Put your thinkin cap on Butch and build the gang hitch for the plows. Then you can post pictures of your plow half day instead of the plow day. Charlie
