Finally got the D19 back together and ready for some local pulls. I pulled the head off this spring as I knew last year that some of the valve guides were shot. Ended up having valve guides replaced, new exhaust valves, and a couple intake valves, new springs and a couple seats had to be replaced. Interesting to find out that the rest of the engine looks in great shape like it was recently rebuilt but they didn't take the time to have the head fixed up right away. Either way it is in much better shape now. Took off my WD45 wheel weights as they looked funny in the center of a big 38" rim and put the D19 Rowe weights that I had in their place. Don't know what they weigh but other bathroom scale goes to 350 and they don't register on there. Kind of a challenge mounting weights to a wheel that doesn't have the right bolt hole pattern without killing yourself. Anyways, she's ready for Wednesday night so we will see what she does. Pulled six times last year and got two thirds and one second so I'm hoping for a good puling season. I like your Mid Mount weights, I have been looking at how to mount weights on my D17 like that.

Ditto on the mid mount weight bracket...that's a great way to do it. I always like to see photos of other folks fabrication and engineering. Good luck Chuck! Kip

I can't take credit for the weight brackets. Chris(WI) sold all of them to me and he was the one who made them for his D19 when he pulled. I do like the way he did them and the rear brackets don't interfere with anything. I could take off all the weights and immediately use the snap coupler lift arms and I wouldn't have to take off any of the brackets.
Gary my second place finish last year was 290 something and only 1.5 foot away from first and the sled weight was all the way forward. I lost to an international 686 that was all stripped down for pulling. Hope I nudge him out of the way this year.

Mike some of the pulls around here won't let you hang weights more then 24" in front of the tractor casting so if I turn them around I am over that measurement.
