Hello all, I am rebuilding a zenith carburetor off of a 190. The problem I am having is that I will not be putting the carb on the tractor for a while (1 month or so) and it seems like when I get it cleaned up the thing rusts inside very quickly. If I was going to put it back on the tractor immediately I wouldn't worry about it, but I don't want rust in the system. Any ideas what I could put on it to keep it from rusting that would be ok to run when I an ready to use it?

Ok thanks. I read somewhere to coat with wd-40 then seal it in a ziplock bag. Guess I will try it!

I use a 50:50 mix of WD40 and light oil in a spray bottle on my parts that I don't want to rust and are in out of the weather.  Seems to be good for several years with no rust problems.  I'm in the somewhat humid midwest too.

Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.
