Taking apart an engine and the governor spring has a yellow stripe painted on it , who can tell me what  rpm range this spring was intended for and what other colors did Allis use and what were their rated speeds  ?  Thanks, Gary

A d17 and 175 spring have blue stripe .They say they are a different shade but it takes the partnumber for me to know the dfference. I think white is a wd spring . I dont know the yellow spring so I guess it would be a wc then again someone could correct me cause I may have the white spring confussed . GLeanor spring has no stripe or  slug in the center of the spring.

I got grease on the new one and couldnt tell what paint color it was. I had a wd45 and a d17 new. I used the grased one because it had larger wire and a thicker plungr than the yellow strype one. If I'm rightthe yellow is for wd45 and wd/1700rpm mag.
