Does anybody know if the injectors found in a 77/88, 770/880 Oliver are the same basic Bosch type found in the D17D? Seems like they are. The early 66/77/88 tractors used a PSB pump like the WD45D. Then they switched to the Stanadyne Roosa Master like A-C did. My diesel compression test set gives a part number and a picture of the adapter used to check White (Oliver) engines as far back as the 66/77/88. The picture of the adapter looks like it could. Has a bridge that looks like the 2 studs and nuts hold in place and a threaded part in the same basic shape as the Bosch injector.

Dunno but one thing to keep in mind, D17Ds used different injectors from early to late models. The change happened somewhere in the vicinity of series II & III. I believe the same time they went from water pump on head to water pump on block.

Gary, do you know what the difference is? Entirely different style injector, or just an internal change?

All those Lanova combustion chamber engines should use same compression adapter. while injectors will not interchange, the basic style is used in all I have seen. Case, MM, Oliver, Allis, MH. The adapters are usually slotted for the studs/bolts, so fit differing bolt spacings, then the whole assembly threads in or out of the "T" portion. hope this helps. Ed.

They're basically the same but the most obvious difference is the tip portion that fits into the head.... early models are aprox 1/2 " dia while the later are around 3/8". Those numbers are ballpark. I've got some early injectors, if you can think of a way to adapt a gauge ?

I am in need of a diesel compression tester that  has fittings for 14mm plugs also. I busted two craftsmen 350 psi compression testers. Iam thinking this motor is going over 450 psi.
