Let's see your shop, I don't care if its big or little, new or old, clean or needs a bobcat to find the floor. Let's see where all the Allis Chalmers repairs happen.

My shop is so small most of the work is done outside. that is a nice looking shop Matt. The WD45 in the lean to is where most of the work gets done.. .

In the winter mine looks more like a 30X50 bin also, no work gets done because you can't walk thru it. There is the new Wauk. B, a TLB, terra tiger, skid steer, 1 1/2 M crawlers, a C and the D15 with loader and snowblower on it, and the dyno. Can't wait for summer to get it emptied out again.

Those rattling antlers on the wall....they sheds or do you guys hunt too?
Below is part of Dads shop, its where I go until I have my own. Labor is cheap and so is all the teasin. Guard dog on duty, well, most of the time anyways
ALSO....wood stove in double duty action, as a ring gear install heat source. Makes the job easier, thats for sure. Thanks kent!

Don, in order to get rid of any extra money we may have we raise deer also so those antlers on the wall are some of the sheds. At one time we had Whitetail, Fallow, Sika, Elk, Reindeer and Muntjacs. Now we just have Muntjacs and Whitetails.

This is our shop. 30' X 40'. Inside are a 1942 WC, 1947 WC and a 1950 WD, three Garden tractors, fishing boat, tools and a wood shop. It's about 20' to narrow and 30' to short. Once spring comes it gets emptied out a bit and there is more room to work and move around in.

Nope, this was never a barn it was always a machine shed. The old timer that grew up on the farm said his dad built it back in the early 30's for the horse-drawn equipment. He said he backed the equipment against the wall all the way around so that he never had to move anything to hook the team up to a piece of equipment.

Well after seeing all those nice shops, figured I would show you a depression-era poor small farmer "shop". Gramps built it, Dad patched it (see doors), I toyed in it as a child, and now I own it. Needs cleaned out, being absentee for the last 10 years calused a lot of clutter build up, (drop things off in it, take off for the long drive back to what was home). Im back at the farm now. This is not much utility for me now, but too sentimental to tear it down. Too many memories. Think I will repair, secure it and keep yard tools and the like in it.

Tom, looks like kerosene lamps for light would make it hard to see your work Johnny2guns, the outside looks real nice but there must be a lack of work going on if you can walk all the way around your tractor without tripping on some removed part

Well I do get some work done but I'm a fat old man so it's slow going. Besides that I hate a sloppy barn.

Lots of nice shops you guys have! I want one someday. I hope it can be heated and have lots of windows. I have a friend with a nice shop who helps me from time to time. He has windows, concrete floor and heat. Boy that makes a difference! I really dislike having a shop with out windows!. Pastor Mike

Well there is only one light bulb, so I need the lamp !LOL!..Actually they are just some more "accumulation"; left by a previous tenant of the house...but yeah the "shop" is a real stye..lotsa cleanup yet to do but Im chipping away at it. Bigger priority has been emptying out the hog pen in prep for the piggys I am getting soon. First livestock on the farm in twenty years.

Here is our shop, Its kinda unique since it is round, 40' diameter. The phone booth outside is wired up to the house phone and the pay phone has been wired so that you don't have to put money in it anymore.

Here ya go....this is MY first shop! In the works....and rough.
Needs to be reworked, new steel, and plan on putting lean-to's on it.
Thought some of ya might get a chuckle out of it, It will work for now. Nothing is permanent, If I need to move or build, I will.
Should be a good start though, this little shed was built probably in the 20's or 30's my guess.

LOL, tom. I know.......aint got the biggest or best shop, but its a start for me.
Thought about bulldozin it and starting over, decided to keep it for now and re steel everything. Probably 16x20 or so....with leans that will give me some room for SC equipment.
Good enough for now!

I'll hafta admit- if Charlie's rule (the amount getting done is inversely proportional to the available interior space with which to walk), then I'm obviously getting a whole lot done...
But it sure don't FEEL like it!!!
Okay, so, since we moved here, I have made fiscal investments in everything BUT the workshops... including, but not limited to the house, the electrical service, the house, the ice-house, the house, the vegatable garden, the house, the flower gardens, and of course, the house.
The garage has a nice smooth floor, fairly high ceiling, and heat...
And that's where HER car goes.
I get the pole barn, dairy barn, grainery, two steel grain bins, an old railcar, and the small machine shed. Everything got moved in in somewhat of a hurry, and the story is much more long-and-drawn-out than needs to be told, but I've got the floors of the buildings built up with compacted gravel enough so that I can park something in it, and it doesn't become a frozen swamp in the winter. I've even got good electricity, compressed air, and lights in each building... alas, no concrete, and nothing strong enough to do overhead lifting... but concrete is next on the list... as is some other neat stuff. I'll stave off posting pix for now, but I'll post a thread when it's time for good progress.
