I know its not uncommon to have cracks between the cylinders on these block. My question is how bad can the cracks be and still get them to seal up and not create problems? What have you guys got to work? thanks for any help.

Cracks on top web OK cracks on bottom web trouble. Some old timers have told me that there was an AC service bulletin that had a template to tape to the side of the block to show where to drill in 2 places between 1-2 and 3-4 to put long bolts in and pull the bottom back to gether,. Never tried it but souns doable. Cal in Ct.
