Like Ann, I've been away a while. Just hadn't registered until now.

Anyway, I just bought a WD45 Monday that had a 2 way hydraulic valve plumbed in from the remote outlet, and return line to fill hole on left side. I unhooked the 2 way valve to use the lift arms for my blade, but they won't lower. I readjusted the linkages with no luck. Pump is set for hold position. With the lever down, the pump just keeps running. Is there a valve stuck in the main part of the pump or on the top where the lift ram and remote lines go in, or something else to check? -Thanks!

I got the same problem and the same setup but mine returns to the drain on the bottom

Do I have to take the pump apart to get it loose, or is there some way to do that on the tractor? The arm coming out the side of the pump which connects to the quadrant lever moves as it is supposed to.

The pump has to come off and be torn down. Clean every thing up good and polish the spool valves. Also replace the 5 springs under the plugs across the top and the one at the back. Good luck. MACK

First thing I would check would be the Traction Booster linkage under the tractor near the Snap Coupler Bell and large spring.

Could be stuck or 'out of adjustment' and causing the Traction Booster to operate.

I had that problem once and there was enough rust on the lift rams that they were stuck. A little PB Blaster and some emery paper fixed it.

Take the fittings loose on the lift cylinders and try to pull them down to be sure that stuck cylinders aren't a problem.

Kevin, Don't forget the screw on the pump closest to the clutch housing. You can move that and move the valve rack. Don't put too much pressure on it but you may be lucky.

John, the lift arms are free. When the 2 way valve is plugged in they will go down as the oil returns through it to the fill hole.
Gary, the link from the snap coupler to the pump is missing, and the screw is into the housing as set for hold position.
Bill, do you think screwing that one in and out may loosen whatever is stuck in there? I might try it before removing pump. It is screwed all the way out against the clutch housing. Screw "D" I think.

kevin, I have had the same thing happen and fixed it by turning the screw on the front of the pump all in and then back out. It will dislodge whatever peice of junk caught in the spool. Like has been said, don;t force it. If you can't turn it in by hand, something may have broken.
