I'm looking to purchase a nice, decent grill for an Allis 180 gas tractor. I understand that the 180 had the rounded corners on it. I would like one that was ready to be put on,with only a few minor dings at best. The screen needs to be good and straight though. Please e-mail or PM me with a price and shipping to zip code 63351. My e-mail address is: mailto:rickinmo@socket.net - rickinmo@socket.net . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Rick

Hey Rick, Did Cook call you back about the 180 grill?
I am sorry for not calling about going to Cooks. I spent most of the day down there just looking around at tractor and combine treasures.
I might be going back in a week or two.

Don...I don't think I'll be taking it to Mike's to do any plowing. I'll be using it for a brush hogging tractor though. Ya know...I might just want to leave that old grill on there for that...you think? My luck would be that as soon as I put it on the tractor,I'd be running over it with the brush hog! LOL! With all the bigger tractors that I've been getting lately,I might have to find some ground locally to plow up myself! Rick

Rick - you did good for $300. I brush hog with my 180 all the time...by far that's what it spends the most amount of hours doing. I use cable zip ties around the latches so they can't come undone. I need to put a safety chain somehow inside so if it pops off it can't fall to the ground. But it seems to me I'd have to drill a hole somewhere on the inside of my grill to do that and I haven't been able to bring myself to put a self inflicted wound on my tractor....
Oh and Don does seem to forget about his buddies when he makes on of those Cook salvage runs. He must have a one track mind, LOL. Mike

Tracy, I'd be the first guy Mike wood come see if that SC carryall got gone. But he has a plow at his farm I'd like to put in my barn. LOL
Don't worry MIke I'll find one someday. LOL

Don...what plow is that ol' buddy? Does Mike have another plow at his farm that he got? Or...is it the one I hauled to his place last summer that you seem to need? LMAO! I'm going to try to have my WD45 narrow front ready for the next plow day at Mike's. All I need to do is add the rear wheel weights to it and hopefully find a set of front donut weights for the outside of the rim. I'm trying to find a set somewhere locally here, because of the shipping charges. Other than that I think I'm ready. Rick

I,ll drill a hole right in the front of the hood ,thru the square holes of the screen toward the top and put a bolt that has a hole drilled in it so you can put a clip in it ; kinda like a hood pin deal ; paint it cream color , hardly notice it ; it sure beats the screen laying there all crumpled up !!! Those latches and the AC gear poping out deal makes you wonder just exactly what engineering was thinking .
