hello all, I posted this on yt page and was refered to this site for better info. I called about a supposed allis hd serial number 98-4547? no pictures or other info available the serial number dosent match up to anything in allis tractor crawler data book. it dosent seem to match Detroit or allis diesel numbers as I see it either. it is a good distance away and I don't need to look at it if it is too big any thoughts would be appreciated. matt

It is HD9B-4547. I have an HD-9 military owners manual, and the view showing the serial number stamped in the rear housing shows the 9B and it looks a lot like an 8.
