I have been searching for parts for the Iveco engine......seems to be few and far between.  I may need a shortblock.

Anyone ever repower one of these?

HELP any other options ideas........have 90% plus undercarriage and only 4300 hours on machine it is good.......may just sell for the undercarriage and start over.

I overhauled one of these for a costumer this past spring. It is kind of different to work on. Parts are rather easy to get Minpar had most of them. They are rather expensive. I believe the owner had between 4-5 thousand in it. His had a bad rod bearing. If you need any more info send me a PM or email me at mailto:mbscott881@hotmail.com" rel="nofollow - mbscott881@hotmail.com

Well after a successful trip from where the loader died being pulled up to the house by a Cat 943 on froze ground or it wouldn't have happen.  I find a hole in my block of the engine.  It actually cracked the water jacket where the freeze plug is .......SO now I am looking for an entire engine or has anyone ( I cannot find on internet) done an engine repower in a an FL9 track loader?

Seems like someone may need to buy my machine for the undercarriage.......that is great.   Or if I can repower worth the money..........

ANYONE help?

Scott

I think a 4bt will be a little small. If i rember right the original engine was 330 CID. I could easily fit my fist inside the sleeve. Try Thill track and Tractor for parts. They had the few used parts we needed to rebuild one.   Matt

Just a guess on the 4bt, maybe a 5.9 would be suitable if your block has had it, good luck, Trev.

Try a Google - looks like some FD8's, some Fiat wheeled tractors and maybe some New Hollands might have this engine.

It is listed as Fiat Iveco, so maybe some trucks as well?

I got an FL9, over a year ago, with a near worn out UC that was supposed to be  running tractor when it was parked.  The previous owner made a ss exhaust pipe for it and didn't seal-weld the joints properly, so I assumed that one of the cylinders filled with water and the pistons rusted in place (because it had been sitting up for at least five years).  A year after I got it, I finally pulled the head off of it to see what was wrong and sure enough the pistons were frozen in the rust on the cylinder walls.  Mine is a 1980 year model and I need a new starter and UC for mine.  I burned my starter up trying to bump the engine over with the cylinder full of water. Censored If you want to part with your starter or UC please let me know what you want for it.  I have a good, near new UC for the AC loader that is the next size up from the FL9 if you happen to find a machine like that, that needs a new UC.  I'm about to pull the engine out of my FL9, to get the oil pan off of it, so I can put new sleeves, pistons and rings in it.    Email me if you want to part with anything. drew_tec8@yahoo.com

I found the tag for the top end kit I got for our FA 10 dozer, which reads NH 1000.

And I ran into a hay farmer with a couple of Fiat wheel tractors today.  He has a Fiat 1000, which doesn't have the CP3 engine in our FA 10 dozer, so there was a second engine in those.

And he has a Fiat 750, which looked to have an engine of similar looks to our CP3 in a 4-cylinder version.  On looking in my 1970 Powerfarming Annual it had a CO3-70 engine.  So there is a start to tractors with that engine.

And a punt - by 1985 the Fiat 766 had a Fiat 8045.04.

Out of curiosity I'll probably call a supplier I use and see if I can get a definite on what will fit - in between dealing with our current drought problems.

I wish you luck finding parts. Scotty last visited here in Sept of 13. So I don't think he will see your request.
