In true form, after I fixed the cooling system on my ACC-40 (F163 engine), the head gasket has let go and spewing coolant everywhere. Anyone have guidance or words of wisdom on changing one out? Also, does anyone know the fluid capacity for the transmission? The manual I found says to both check it while running, and shutting it off and checking it after it shuts down. When its off, it shows massively over full, when its running, it shows nothing on the stick. I'd rather just have a capacity and fill it based on that. There's more issues with it, but that's a whole other post. Thanks for the help! Happy New Year (damn Mayans.....)

If this is the old Continental flathead, it will be a sheet steel gasket and they do not seal well. In the garage industry we used Copper Coat gasket sealant on the steel gasket for a gasket to block and a gasket to head sealer, coated both sides the block surface and the head surface where the gasket sits. As to the fluid, sounds like a flow check or a cross connection seal is bad allowing hideout oil to flow back on shut down, possibly from a cooler or a secondary system using the fluid.
