hello all, i am new hear

I have a AC 715 D back hoe that appears to be leaking from all of it s hydraulic rams. so i am going to start putting new seals in them. I am starting with the swing cylinders for the back hoe part. would anyone have a parts diagram/break down that would show the cylinder so i could figure out why the ram is not coming out. I think i have taken everything off but still wont budge.

also is there an online place where i cold by parts for it.

You remove the screw on retaining collar - the the seal retainer / bearing slides into the cylinder tube. This has a external O ring seal to tube and the internal seal and bearing material for shaft to slide on .

The collar may have a bolt or set screw to lock the threads to cylinder external threads.

It's straight forward , the parts can be ordered from MINNPAR or check with local hyd shop as they are all stock items used in industry .

On mine it was cheaper to order some parts from MINNPAR but piston itself I had made by hyd shop for 1/4 price of what new OEM part cost.

I have the screw on collar off. So I will look for a set screw and give the rest a shot

IF it had a set screw it would have been in the collar to hold it from turning loose.

Once that is off the gland is exposed and this can be slid out of the tube. On the outboard end of gland is a exclusion wiper seal to keep dirt out and prevent water entering - inside of gland is a strip of material to prevent shaft contact with gland - a bearing . Same on the piston . The piston bolts to the shaft and comes off so shaft can be removed from gland. Watch direction of parts and seals so as new parts go back in the same way.
