The gasket set is around $425.00.That includes all the gaskets,O-rings,sealing rings for the clutch packs, new stake nuts for the shafts, and assorted other goodies to do the job.The friction discs are around $125.00 a piece.Usually the discs last a long time. The teeth inside the discs can get partially sheared or sharp. If you don't need any hard parts (housings, gears, castings) they are not super expensive to work on.The special tools and a service manual are certainly a plus to have if you are going to do it yourself.

We did ours about 2 years ago and it was about $2000 for all the rubber parts and springs that separate the clutches. Ours had the threaded neck broken off of the front clutch hub. that part new was 2500 or so. If I were you I'd have that part magna-fluxed before I put it together.
