I bought a d17 last summer that used a quart of oil to a gallon of gas since the previous owner used it without an air cleaner.

I tore into it to overhaul the motor and fix some leaks.
I decided to do the brakes and replace the rearend seals since I had it down that far. Before I knew it I was out of bolts to removeSmile
Now the wife says"You might as well paint it while its all apart. Shouldn't be that much more work" Well I appreciate her support but was she ever wrong. I never want to sandblast or sand anything ever again.
It didnt turn out perfect but its gonna be a working tractor anyway. I've got a loader to put on it and have it help with some firewood.
Hope you all enjoy the pics

Nice, I love the level of refurbish you did. These folks are just getting too carried away on the paint jobs anymore. your paint is just about perfect, you still can use the tractor, and it looks great as well. -Sensibility- Wink

Nice job -- I admire you folks that take everything apart and get all the pieces back together -- and it works.

Yea that green thing was a big tractor till It got sucked in the carb. I found it stuck in the mufflerSmile. Its a shame you cant buy any orange electric toys or I would have one.
Thanks for the complements It was alot of work but It should last me a long time.
