Justin, you have a late model "drill planter" it will plant from 30" rows up to 48" rows.
I do have some parts for it. What parts are you looking for?.

It's just referred to as the "Rear Mounted Drill Planter". No model number at all. Here are some pictures and video of the one my dad has used for probably 20 years. It is newer than your planter. It has double disc openers for both seed and fertilizer and has the new AC logo so must be from 1965 or later. My dad bought it at an auction for $40. Some parts are still available for them. He also has an original hitch for this planter to be used in place of the snap coupler drawbar for three point tractors which has never been used. Also, the row markers are brand new as well, hanging in the shed. (You don't really need row markers for a two row planter) [TUBE]43c1aQGaC5w[/TUBE]

in my humble opinion, i believe these planters were the most versetile, trouble free, economical and quality planter ever produced by any manufacturer during the wd, d series production days when these implements were being made. the 4 row arrangement is the height of then times planter configurations. you have no excuse now for not raising 175 bushel corn or 50 bushel beans!.........what a great find.

What do you think this little 2 row would be good for? Now it came with a bunch of seed plates but I have no idea what I can plant with it?

DanD,
I had a question regarding the picture of your planter with the double-disk openers. How much no-till work do you think those openers would allow? I imagine it lacks the weight to penetrate heavy sod, but would it work in heavy trash? Just curious, in case I ever run across one.

Get a copy of the manual off ePay, the chart in the back will tell you what all your plates are used for.

My father sold a bunch of them, in fact it was basically the only planter we sold. Basically trouble free and a good planter. We used the shoe opener. They were replaced by the All Crop planter then the no-till. There are a ton of adjustments. Br certain to get a manual. You would have to till the ground before planting. They are not - repeat not - no till. Good Luck! Bill Long
