i have an allis chalmers 7045 and i was wondering if maybe it was possible to pull the short axle out that i have to put clip on duals on, to putting in a long axle so i can get bolt on duals

Are you leaving the tires out for plowing, or is it set for 30 in rows?

well really it will be more for spraying and cultivating. right now it set for 38" rows wich is what we have. but not with the duals and we cant adjust those

The reason I ask is if you slide the inside tire as close to the cab as possible, there is enough axle left for a direct axle dual hub than you need either a deep dished dual rim or a spacer to space the dual where you want it. Haave direct axle dual 18.4-42 on a 210 and 7580 the front of the 7580 has the spacer bolted to the hub the back of the 7580 the rim had a deep dish and it both works to run down 30in rows

I have some 10" dual spacer we dont need if you need them to make your axle work, even with 20.8-28 if it has pwershift rims you could slide the hub in as far as possible a shift the tires to 38in, that should leave you enough axle for a hub and than with a i0in spacer and the right dish on the dual you could still make it work

just so you know they are 10bolt 10in spacers not the band spacer

I just bought a set of 4in for the 7580 they charged me used 400 for the pair, let me see what they are going for and I will let you know.

I have 20.8x38's on the 7080 with spinout dauls. It really is a great setup as we, like you are on wide rows. I do slide the right side in as well as the right side wheel on the grain cart when we combine beans. It gives 1' more room between the 30' head and the tractor/cart. It looks odd in beans, but when they are set back out for corn, it looks great coming through the field with the Gleaner at her right side.

are the rims for 20.8 38 tires if so if the price is right I will probably take en but I also have to find the hubs for the duals

Just to let you know when I needed hubs for AC, becasue of the axle and key size if you find them used they want about as much as new, go to your local tire dealer, and order a new set, I think the ones on the 7580 were 700 bucks including the bolts, the only set I found used were in MN and that guy wanted 600 + shipping, but maybe you will get lucky with a neighbor or something.
