Here is a pic of my C with the hyd ram and bracket on my SunMastr 60" deck. Mounts to the foot rest / cross brace (that just broke last night). I don't have a pic showing the mount better than this, sorry.

I don't have any pictures, but mine has a metal bar that attaches to the torque tube. Where it attaches to the torque tube there is a longer bolt that is also attached to a triangular metal plate about 12 -16 inches on a side with three holes in the corners. The Hydraulic piston is attached to the rear corner and the chain assembly is attached to the front corner. The chain assembly is then attached to the deck. The rear of the mower deck is attached to the Implement bolt holes inside the rear wheels. then the hydraulic piston is activated it raises the deck. This is using a Woods L306. My L59 has the manual Armstrong lift... I hope this helps. Miles

If you have a Woods mower it will be as Miles described. I had one on a C . I sold the C and put the mower on my CA. Ordered the lift parts for the CA from a Woods dealer. Sold the one for the C to Lou in PA. This is just my opinion but, if I had a hydraulic lift set up, I would sell it and buy the hand lift. I have had nothing but a hand lift on the Woods mower and I would hate to think of not being able to raise the deck up any time I want.

Here's a photo that might help (not mine), but I'll second Charlie's motion for the hand lift. Sure is nice to be able to lift the mower anytime I want, even if the tractor isn't running.

Charlie and Murph are right - I have the hyd lift and sometimes it is a real pain. I hit rocks a lot (they grow really well around here) and have to straighten the blades about twice a month. It would be oh so nice to be able to raise the deck without the engine running and PTO engaged. I always end up getting a jack instead. Would be nice for cutting height adjustment as well - some stuff I mow I have to raise the deck a little to clear stuff (rocks), the hyd wants to be all the way up or all the way down, hard to get it to stay in the middle. The only time the hyd lift is nice is when you see something in the grass ahead of you (garden hose?) and need to get that deck up quick!

Here is a close up of the Hyd lift on My CA. except I replaced the ram with a piece of pipe. the hyd lift was really usless. the blades have to be turning for it to lift. I replaced the lift on My C with a woods manual lift. If I rember right it was abouty $250 for the manual lift kit. I comes with a large lift spring that goes from the leading edege of the deck to the torque tube. its easy enough that my wife can lift it with one hand.

I don't use the Woods hand lift on the B cause I have the drawbar lift for a plow on it. Just hook up the chain and go

yep, charlie, i do see the value of a hand lift as you recommended for my suburban 12 dozer blade. i didn't even think of a locking one because my other rear blade small tractor doesn't have that. so i'll set it up for pedal push (as is) plus hand pull with lockset. as usual, thanks for xlnt advice. ------------- 52 CA, 41 B and a little B1 oh, yeah... and an 8N ford snuck in there, too. |

It wouldn't be too hard to convert either set-up to use both. Neither set. It bolts up to the 2 sets of threaded holes. The far front and rear holoes are for a pin in the drawbar bracket.
