Does anyone know if a tach from a 180 work on a 170. I know the part numbers are different but they look the same to me.

I believe they turn the same way, off the rear of the alternator. The markings on the face will be different, PTO speed, MPH, etc.

The one i seen said it was off a gas 180 but the face looks exactly like the one on my 170 diesel.

Check the mailto:PTO/@governed" rel="nofollow - PTO at governed RPM marking on tach face and match to specs for the tractor
