mack you seem to know what you are talking about in the field of wd-45 hydraulics.my 45 diesel
in the hold position,will drive the selector lever back to within one notch of the full up position.and the mower will start raising.i am inclined to say it is the hold valve.the pump is set up properly.your opinion please...

I would say the small (1/4") rod between pump lever and holdposion valve needs adjusted. May need new spring on lever rod to keep more pressure on friction block.  MACK

Even a little oil where the lever-rod goes through the quadrant can make a difference. Have seen the spring not slip and hold torque and in turn make lever crawl.(oil that too)
