I found a 185 that has a rebuilt inj pump and 3rd gear peplaced, with new brakes. Needs a seat and a rad. From the picture all the tin looks exellent, and the rear tires are likely 55%. | I would check the "Tractor House" site for some "benchmark" prices. And you can get an idea of the geographical differences in pricing as well. If the 185 brakes were replaced by a competent AC mechanic..that alone may be worth an extra grand. |

| I don't know for sure, Brian, but would it be worth $4500.00-5000.00?? You see them advertised for alot more, but you never know what you are going to get into when you get it home. However, the third gear, pump and breaks mean alot as well. |

My 180 needed a little TLC some four years ago, bought it and a 9' drag blade for $6000 and thought it a bargain. Have done a Injection pump rebuild, and a second shaft seal for a screwup, repaired wiring, indicators, replaced brakes and seals, added a ether hot shot kit and 500 series loader with a mod to add a swizzle stick control; oh and had to replace three of four shift forks two years ago as they were broken at the gears. It's worth as much as a buyer will pay for it.

| we have a 185 with year a round cab, newer hyd pump, tranny rebuilt, a good strong running engine. It has hyd pto 540/1000, tin work no better or worse than that one, One back tire needs replaced(holds air but no tread to speak of) All around tractor is in average condition for the age. we have it listed at $5900 but have had no offers on it with a fair bit of customer traffic. Juging by the big sale in Belleville there a few weeks ago, I would suggest we are a little high, maybee $4500-$5000 would generate more interest but I am not the bean counter. To be honest It's a great yard tractor for the shop and I wish I had a use for it myself at home but I have all the tractors I need. |

| The wood seat puts up a huge red flag for me. Anyone that would put that on a tractor would make me really wonder what that tractor went though and what maintenance it ever got. Just my two cents. Ryan |

| Condition is important -- drive it a see how it acts -- gears , brakes, hydraulics. -- If it all checks out OK, then I would think the range you mentioned, $4500 - 5000 would be about right -- around here anyway. |

For the sake of comparison, I paid $8,500.00 for this one last fall, 1700 hours, it had never been more than 5 miles from where it was sold new. Original paint, new rear rubber. I've been told I paid too much, but the more I use her, the happier I am.

| dont forget the back rims. suspect you are seeing the best side of the tractor. would find out if the tires are still loaded. if they aren't you already know why........ |
