I need a new cordless drill. I am looking at a Dewalt DCD760KL 18-Volt 1/2-Inch Cordless Compact Lithium-Ion. Anybody have any expirience with this drill?

We use the 18 volt Dwalt stuff and work in maintenance. Have a skill saw, impact, reciprocating saw, and 2-3 different 1/2 inch drills. All share the same batteries. PRetty good life and take good abuse.. but expensive brand.

At home i have the Craftsman 19.2 volt. Does good for me and price is about 1/3 of Dewalt.

Neal, my drill is a DeWalt 18 volt with the lith-ion batteries. Love the drill and batteries. Have the recip,circular,impact and others with it. Can't go wrong. HTH Tracy Martin

DeWalt has been good tools and I have 3 of the 14 V drills , Hammer drill and a few other tools .

Plumbing shop I use to employ at plant had DeWalt come in and buy all their old tools if they agreed to switch over to their brand. After 3 years they had one failure of one drill .

Neal, I have had good luck with Dewalt for the past 14 years. I don't have that model your looking at. I own a couple small ones like that and a couple 970 hammer drills, impacts, saws etc... I use them every day in my line of work.

I have nothing good to say for DeJunk! Makita 18v lithium ion cordless in my shop!

My boss and I bought Dewalts the same day. He bought the lithium and I bought the XRP batteries. Mine are still going strong and his are already shot and mine gets way more use than his does. The best I ever owned was a Rigid from Home Depot and you get a lifetime battery warranty.

I have a DeWalt 1/2" hammer drill I bought 9 years ago, going head strong today but I did have to get the batteries overhauled last season, only lasted eight years of reasonably steady use.

I have nothing bad to say about Dewalt, I use them at work, and the 36volt LIon at home. All have been very good for many years. Oh wait I do have something bad to say, they basically have dropped the 36 volt line for the 18volt, I didn't care for that. :-)

You will have better luck with a Bosch. DeWalt has been a problem for us. they are nothing more than a Black and Decker in a yellow case.

I work in industrial maintenance. we use the dewalts they are very good drills.

they get beat and used hard. there are cheaper models and more expensive models... I think ours cost 200 + dollars.

At home I have 2 Milwaukees. I like them very much They cost 200 + dollars too.

You won't get any good drill cheap. You get some $50 drill it won't be much worth a hoot no matter who's name is on it.

Don't have any with lithium battery have two 3/8 18 volt Dewalt several years no problems
Had makita less than two years battery would get weak with about half charge still in it.

It should be ok. I am a contractor and beat on and drop and drill things i Shouldn't with dewalts everyday. The only thing is the hammerdrills are made a little heavier and last longer for us.
