We have water running out the PTO shaft, both hydraulics and tranny have emulsified oil in their sumps.Tractor was loaned to another farmer for the past 4 years and never seen the inside of a barn. What is the best way to rid the entire systems of the bad fluid without spending a fortune on hydraulic fluid and UTF?

For what its worth, oil is cheap compared to a hydraulic pump replacement or a rear end rebuild. Just my .02.

Listen to mtanut.  $200 For oil and filters versus $2000+ for transmission.  Do the math.

What would the rest of you guys think of using diesel to flush through the system first, just to get a rinse before running the oils through it?
I've heard of doing that to an engine that has had water in the oil and coated the insides of it is why I ask about this application.
Just a thought about a possible solution.

After sitting overnite, pull each drain plug and drain the water that is there and when oil comes out replace the plug. Overfill it with diesel fuel by quite a bit and drive it around to wash her out on the inside and drain it quickly........I'd add a couple gallons to the hydraulics and probably three or four gallons in the trans.
