I would like to see pictures of the D17 decal for the ones with the name plate bolted to the hood.

This is how my 1961 D17 name plate looks like rivited to the hood on the right side.

its all Factory decals on this tractor plus dealer stuff at the time it was brought to the farm

Not wanting to high-jack the post, but can anyone advise of a source for the rivets originally used in the long nameplates?
I've heard they were a bit different and would like them to be near as original as possible on the D12 going in for painting.

Have the rivits on our site, look for acs1567  and the clip is jds630. 14 of each is required.

Did the series 2 name plate tractors use a "diesel"decal if the engine was diesel? If so where was it postioned?

I got a hood from a salvage yard that had the aluminum plates on it and the diesel decal was in the center of the hood at the bottom. It looked original to me.
