With the recent development at Agco with tractor who would ever consider a Gleaner combine,  even with the GM comments on their commint to Gleaner but if I recall  thats what they said obout the tractors.    Agco can't be trusted.  one valued customer that is gone

Not trying to defend anything AGCO does but my brotherinlaw works selling for a local dealership, he says 80% of the combine orders into Hesston are for Gleaner R series and there are new larger ones coming in the next year so maybe they aren't giving up on them, just info I was told.

If they dump Gleaner there will be no more reason for me to stay.  Massey and Challenger just don't appeal to me.  If I wanted a calf crap colored tractor I would clean calf pens.  I know they need to streamline brands but why not axe Challenger, that brand is made up, they already had brands with loyal followings to pick from.

I was told Gleaner makes up 75% of combine sales with Massey and Challenger making up the rest.  The salesman that told me this said why would they drop Gleaner if it makes up 75% of sales?  I said that orange AGCO tractors made up 80% of their large, more lucrative, tractor sales and they dumped them.  What makes you think they'll keep Gleaner silver?

AGCO is in the force mode now.  Their forcing dealers out or to change.  Their forcing customers to change color.  Eventually they will force older equipment users to buy new by increasing parts prices to the point where it doesn't make sense.  Their prices already are getting close to that point for a lot of items.

AGCO forced the dealer I went to to buy a new sign that would cost $16,000 to install otherwise they would loose their volume discounts and incentives.  Dealers that don't sell a lot or don't take advantage of those don't need to buy the sign.

Right now I don't trust AGCO.
