Neil,You talked about shaft play,was this with all gears in tact? I pulled my distributer,and with access through the rear housing,I can't wiggle or move the shaft at all.Would you reccomend tearing the assembly down and replacing all bearings you mentioned? I have no idea how many hours or service history on the tractor,I've replaced most of the gauges so I can moniter operation!
