Does anyone know for sure what the front pivot pin diameter is on a D17 Series IV wide front? Mine is badly worn and I'm going to replace it and want to make sure the size is right. I measured 1.3" with my calipers but it was hard to measure it accurately with the front end still on the tractor. Also - is AGCO the best place to get a replacement bushing for the casting? Any ideas of how much they are? Thanks! Mike

Good news Mike I found a new way to oil changed in your D17IV; but the bad news is we will need some parts to put it back together now.
I will see of I can get a true size on the pin and let you know maybe today.

Dave - Yep - Already been in contact with Tracy about making the pin. We need to confirm the exact size for a D17 SIV. I was hoping someone had measured it before to confirm what Don and I are seeing. Mike

You can check, but we were able to get a new pin from AGCO several years ago and had the local machine shop weld it on. Just make sure you use good steel if you're having it home-made.

Mike, Here are the part numbers for the pin and bushing.
70253386 Axle Pivot Pin
70233368 Axle Support Bushing
You might see if Acgo has them.

Mike, how often do you change the oil? I can lend you my creeper the next time if that will help to free up some time to do other things.

Don - we want Tracy to make a longer pin than stock to getter better pin to pushing contact. Did you measure it at 1.3" after you got the front end out? Let's talk later. Mike
