This was my first tractor it was my dads; Like so many people i started on a 45. Then it went from there. Dad died in 2005 at 54 years old; I wish he could have been here to enjoy some of the others weve got now. Hope some of you enjoy the pics if I load em right.

Is that a roto-bale bale loader covered in the snow?

Dale Haymaker has one of those Rotobale loaders. It was made by a man with the last name of Steffan.

Cool I may have more of a lead on info now I was told it was ac. I do know that there are some overseas, as one of the pics I had sent to me was from New Zealand of the same loader. All the brakets, clips and hardware are identical to that found on the Roto Baler and A-c elevators. I will def check into this Steffen gentelman though and see what happens. I always welcome a chance to learn and sure don't mind having to be incorrect to learn in the process. Thanks guys!!

Dale said there were approx. 600 made. I may not be spelling "Steffan" correct ? This is a pull behind loader, the AC was mounted on the side of the tractor.

I have seen several of the tractor mounted conveyers, most of those were built at La Porte Works. Steffen bale systems is still a viable company, but I can't find any indication that they were around when this was made. Still digging though.....
thanks again for the info.

The Steffen Brothers in Oregon, (Steffen Systems) must be in their 50's or 60's so unless there was a senor, it must have been someone else.

The baler loader was built in Fairbury Illinois by the Steffen family.  One of the inventor's sons is still alive.  I was good friends with Earl Steffen.  Earl had a small collection of A-Cs that I helped him with a bit.  Unfortunately he was killed in an accident a few years ago, he was a great guy.  Right now I cannot remember the surviving brothers name.  I have been looking really hard for one of those bale loaders due to the fact that I was good friends with Earl.  There are a few around, I have never heard of any being exported before.

Heres a link to a video I shot of one running at Hutchinson.  I need to do some editing with it yet....

thank you all so much, its nice to get this info, so glad to have it. I really appreciate it. Now I can at least pass this info to my friends correctly it seems.  I am also really glad to have this loader, I definitely will be showing it around southern IL, now the question is whether or not to restore it or not. I really like the looks of it now, I just wish there was a bit more of the paint left.

Great looking units!!!  You father would be very proud.  You know I wish I could see my father again.  He died in 1991.  Miss him every day.
Good Luck!

Old orange, very nice,  like the D14!  Hope mine will look half that good someday.
I started small, the cub 682 was my grandfathers.  I'm lucky enough to have it. The AC 616 was my fathers, I have that as well.  I got to tear the transmission out of the Cub today actually and really enjoyed knowing the last person to touch those bolts was my grampa.
