I have an owners manual for the 2500 trail plow. I have a 7 furrow 2500 semi mount on land hitch plow.  Building a 220 XT to pull it now.

I have a 7 bottom 2500 Series pull type that had been converted to a semi-mount. I can see where the origional "2500" decal had been removed.

Calvin,  You say you have a 2500 semi-mount, on land plow. The manuals I have show the 2500 Series all to be Pull Type with 18" bottoms. I bought a 7 bottom x 18" semi-mount w/o any decals on it. I can see where the origional 2500 decal had been, and also where the pull type hitch had once been. I was wondering if your 2500 had been converted also? The manuals and brochures I have show the 2500 with only 18" bottoms and the 3000 Series Semi-Mounted were 6-8 bottoms x 16". The person I bought my plow from had pulled it with a 7580. I don't know wether he did the conversion or not. Do you know any history on yours?

It still is a pull type. The hitch is in the weeds. The bottoms are 18". If any of you are wondering how i got it, i saw it on the way to pick up my 1400 cult. SO i stopped in and asked where he had gotten it and he said from the local JD dealer that had it. Even though its rough i got it for a steal, $200. This was the only allis thing the guy owned and he pulled it behind a stieger. i see people have manuals but has anyone ever seen one in real life? And no, the decal has just wore of from sitting outside.

That looks like a fun plow to have. It is funny to me how items get numbers. 2500 could be a plow or disk. Gleaner K's are smaller then the F's and G's, but carry a higher letter. Gleaner M's should have been larger then L's.

Jim, the only operators manual seems to be for the 2500 as a trail plow. Mine has always been a semi mount. I've known about this plow for 15 years but had to wait until the auction a year ago to buy it. The seller got it with a 220 that he bought used. I didn't get a bargin because another collector thought he should have it for his D-21. My plow had a new paint job but no decals. I'd love a picture of the decal. No longer available from Agco.
