Need help finding a good distributor for a series I D-17 serial #17210. The shaft on my original is worn, and I can't seem to get the timing to stay right. Bought one off of Ebay to replace it, and as my luck would have it, same problem. Does anyone have, or know where to find a good one? Thanks.

Do you need the shaft or the housing, what part is worn?

I have a housing that is usable, but the shafts and weights are wrong for a D17

You'll have to call Norm, he typically doesn't put his prices up in public.  Probably not a bad policy.

I haven't heard it all, but I never heard of the shaft wearing to a point of causing timing problems.
The shaft should run in replaceable bushings which do wear enough to let things slop around. This usually causes a variation in point gap which can cause spark problems.
Replace the bushings.
Gears can have the pin sheared so it allows the timing to change. Replace the pin that keys the gear to the shaft.
