Can anyone tell me the best way to install a new tire on the rim of a corn planter unit??  I got the old one off but it was half wore out  a little easier to pry off rim. Not such as good of luck trying to get the new one on.  this is a rubber tire  i think 7.00 x 18

Use a rubber lube like the tire changers use and it will slide right on.  MACK

Here's how I do it; I lay the rim flat on the shop floor, then I take a 4 inch diameter by 8 ft long pipe and stand it straight up and down in the center of the rim. Then I set the loader bucket down on the top of the pipe to hold the rim so it doesn't move. The length of the pipe keeps the loader up out the way so I have room to work. Then I have a couple of inch and a half diameter pipes about 5 feet long that I cut out notches half way around on one end, that I use to pry the tire on with. I do lube the tire up really good with soapy water first. Works for me. Darrel
