Hey guys I am having issues with the Hi-Lo on the 190XT i just bought. When it is cold the Hi-Lo will still pull when you put it in neutral and will pull the engine down when you start putting the brakes on. But once it warms up you can put it in neutral it will slow down but still drive but if you start putting on the brakes it will come to a stop and not pull the engine down. This tractor has sat for the last 7 years, I have known the tractor and old owner for 20+ yrs and he never had problems with it before he parked it. So I am wondering if the Hi-Lo cluthces could stick from sitting or what do you guys think I should start lookin for to fix this? The reason the tractor was parked was he quit farming. Thanks Jr

Guess they could stick together - i,d use it a little see if it slips any - the creeping is kinda normal , some are worse than others , run it something will show

Maybe the oil in the PD is not right and is too thick causing more drag than a lighter oil would in cold temps. I would say work it a little and see if anything changes before digging into it.

I think you just need to not worry about it. There seems to be paranoia about the "creeping" issue. Are you actually going to use it on a hay baler or something that requires the neutral to be perfect?? I've got $$$$$ that says if the hydraulic oil temp is 140 degrees or more your perveived problem pretty much goes away. And no, the clutch discs don't "stick" together....they are covered with oil.

Have you changed the oil yet? If it sat that long, it very well could've oxidized and thickened up. If you haven't done so, give it some fresh UTF and change the filters and I bet that helps.
