How much is a snap coupler disk plow worth? decent shape just needs paint?

How much would a snap coupler plow be worth fixed up and mint conditon?
Also how much is a snap coupler 6' disk worth in mint condition and all good bearings and disk blades? If someone could answer these questions asap that would be great!

Just curious, whats the value of a #40 disc with new bearings, in great shape, with new paint?

At $150 per bearing it would have $1200 just in bearings....I would think that is probably the most you could get out of one. Again, it depends on if you really need a heavy disc because they just don't make them that heavy anymore. If I had the opportunity to buy one in like new condition I would gladly pay $1500 for one....about 25 hours of custom work and it would be paid for!

A lot depends on the part of the country, here a SC moldboard can be had cheap, like $150 - $200 cheap.  Really, SC tandems, too.  I got an 8' tandem and a two bottom rollover moldboard for $500 total.  Both have original paint and are field ready, but not mint.

Ok, question 2 then,

Where can I find bearings, cheap, for a #40 disc? Talking to richard the other day, and he says some guys are using 2 1" bearings, instead of 1 bal-pak, to save on cost!
I need bearings for my disc, but don't want to spend a fortune!!

Don,
Check with Larry Swenson.  He may still have some Bal-Pak bearings if you want to go that route.  They're not exactly cheap.

I replaced bearings on the back gang of a 10' Athens offset disk with bearings from Shoup.  They had exactly what I needed.
